Production Journal February 11, 2010

State of mind: Thoughtful of things to come
Task at hand: Get sound clips
On the horizon: Research background stuffs, take pictures at the Loft, tweaking of personal project story on the side while thinking of what I want to do
What is working: The workshopping
What is not working: Is it REALLY a requirement to submit our individual projects to festivals? Perhaps if we got bonus points or, failing that, LEGEND POINTS?

A spot of inspiration I would like to share

I tried sharing this with Auston and Max on Friday in the bookstore, but its PCs have no sound drivers! I do not believe this is what I am exactly aiming for with my storytelling conventions and overall story, period, but it is some kind of fantastic and inspirational nonetheless. It is Anis Mojgani performing his poem "Shake the Dust" at the House of Blues in Orlando (as the title shoud say!).



Years ago, I had seen a similar video of him performing it at a poetry slam in Seattle and it quite simply blew me away.

State of mind: Pretty jazzed!
Task at hand: ...I actually have no idea. Someone give me a hand? Probably refine my story for the personal project on the side some more, do some research for the Loft project
On the horizon: Loft-y things
What is working: The concept for the Loft for sure
What is not working: Nothing comes to mind currently
Other thoughts: I am incredibly delighted and glad that it was decided by the powers that be (as well as us the Students!) the semester will be split into two phases, with the first part dedicated to the Loft project and the second dedicated to our personal projects

What is working: Teamwork, creative flow
What is not working: Me sitting off to the side of the classroom where my raised hand cannot be easily seen! As well as my memory, apparently
Other thoughts: N/a -- Although I think we were supposed to look something up...
